I'm not looking forward to this one. It's that "Deceptive Simple" curse...Which makes itself very apparent around about round 6.

jacob - You don't know me. I am a friend of a friend of a friend of yours... something like that. You have a buddy Tim, he has a buddy Sean Weldon in Colorado, and I am Sean's buddy. sean got me into CrossFit about 3 months ago and I love it... even though I can't go right now because my shoulder is a mess from heavy hang power squat cleans followed by JT teh next day. Been injured ever since.

Anyway, been watching your blog (even have a link to it on our new blog) and we are really going to be pulling for you at the regional qualifiers. We'll be there Saturday AM as volunteers so I'll be sure to introduce myself, and I'll be cheering for you big time man. Keep up the good work guys, and the blog is awesome. Even though you don't get comments, I've turned a few guys on to your blog. Sean sent me a link today of your ridiculous time on the ring dips and pullups WOD. You are a stud. If you don't qualify for the games, I can't imagine who's gonna beat you! Aliens??

Jacob, forgot to ask, did you do these pullups chest to bar?

Thanks a lot Fletcher, reading your comments brings a smile to my face, even more so when it comes form a person like yourself, a fellow crossfiter and all. As for the blog, it’s all about laughs, friendship and Crossfit. To shed a little light on things, if it weren’t for Tim and Evan turning me on to Crossfit, I probably would be institutionalized by now, institutionalized or about 5k wealthier, minus the cost of my gym, which ever you prefer.

I thought it would be a good idea to build a garage gym solely for the purpose of having an excuse to have all my friends over whenever possible and give as many people I know the keys to my house. Despite the dream of being able to see my friends more regularly the fact of the matter is I’m financially in a hard place right now, forcing me to work ridiculous hours to stay afloat, and Crossfit has given me the motivation to get off my butt and get everyone I know to come over and hang out every single morning. It’s a beautiful thing, and definitely a thing that is best shared, there in came the blog.

It feels good to say that I’ve been working hard trying to prepare for the qualifiers over the past 6 months, but we’ll see what happens in Denver. I’m pleased with my progress and know whatever happens, next year will be even better. So thanks again Fletcher and I’m sorry to hear about your shoulder. If it’s any consolation I thought I was going to have to go under the knife myself in January for my shoulder, and then one morning it just stopped hurting. Seriously though, after PT, doctors, resting, stretching and anxious anticipation, it just stopped, and I’ve been better ever since. So good luck with everything, and can’t wait to see you in Denver.

Here’s a little list of what’s to come on the blog.
1. I’m going to hang a 40 ft Rope off the side of my house for climbing.
2. I’m going to attempt to have either Shane or Nate fall from it.
3. There’s going to be some cool edited outdoor running WOD videos going up.
4. More females at Crossfit Szafranski, but tastefully so.
5. I’m going to get my hands on a tire, for tire pulls and drags.
6. More embarrassing pictures of people at their worst before, during or after WOD’s.

Take care.

Nope, I didn't. But after watching the clip I think I did 3 extra pull-ups throughout the WOD and I was 1 Ring Dips shy of 100. So as always there's a but...oh well.

I'll post the video tomorrow after 8PM central time. It would've been up by now if it weren't for the damn song I wanted to edit in to the video not loading properly. Sorry.

jacob - How did you hurt your shoulder? For me, it was CrossFit, either overdoing it, or bad form, or more likely both. Funny thing, I did 30 pullups (3x10) last night just to see what it would do, and it actually seemed to make it feel better. Strange?? I am going to see a doc this week. It's been two weeks and I was hoping it would heal on its' own, but it doesn't seem to be working out that way.

So you have a two car garage that you converted the whole thing to a CF gym? I only got spousal permission to do one side of ours, but it's enough for me to get my butt kicked every day!

Good hearing from you... keep on going man, you're going to suprise some people at the regionals. There will be talk... "who's that Jacob guy, did you see that? He's off the hook!" :-)

Oh yah, forgot to mention. CrossFit is all about community, so I was thinking... you (and Tim, or whoever) can stay at my place during regionals to save some cash if you'd like. I have a wife and two kids who run the household, but we have a spare bed and bath with its' own entrace if ya like. we're about a 25 minute drive to Front Range CrossFit.
