Jacob, forgive me for interfering with your personal affairs, but what we do is buy used cars that are still fairly new. We say "let someone else take that bath" when it comes to cars losing over 25% of their value in the first year.

I hear you, but my situation is a little touch and go right now. I am going to potentially going through some legal trouble and my credit score might tank. So I'm picking up a car, new, with a full bumper to bumper warranty for 6 years while I rebuild my credit and go back to school. I know people who've had mixed results with third party warranties and with the used cars I've been looking at, the dealers wouldn't back the warranty as long as I'll need it.
So I'm going to do my part to stimulate this economy the only way I know how, and that's to spend.
