My sleep schedule has been so messed up, I don't think I've gotten more then 4 hours of consecutive sleep in a week. None the less I couldn't pull myself out of bed on time today, so looks like it was a rest day.
Hey Jacob - is the lack of sleep because of how much you work, or do you have a problem sleeping in general? If the latter, have you considered a sleep study. I ask because I read your most recent post about being in a rut, then I scroll down and read about imsomnia.. which makes me wonder if they are related? You need your sleep buddy!
Please don't take this wrong, because it's only a question... and I have no idea or expertise... but sometimes I wonder if you workout TOO much? I mean dude, you work HARD, and a LOT! Do you ever wonder this, or should I just shut up?
50 burpees in 2:11 is totally insane. Wow Jacob, you should call Guinness on that one.
I hear you on that one, I'm not quite sure about the sleep part, but I honestly think I don't hit it hard enough often enough. I mean most of the guys in the games are trainers or gym rats, and more power to them because that's what it takes.
Burpee's are something that's hit or miss with me, if I'm fresh I've hit 30 in a minute once or twice, and with fifty I usually try for 25 in the first minute and then just progressivly slow to whatever time I get, but I'm sure there is some slop reps that are not games standard.
If my shoulders stop screaming I might given 50 a go for time and post it as a video so you can be the judge.
I think my sleep problems come from a combination of a horrid day/night work schedule, too many hours (70-100 a week), genral fatigue and age. Not that I'm old but physiologically I just need more sleep at this metabolic time in my life.
